Abstract

The article discusses the theoretical and practical aspects of the development of critical thinking of students in the information age. An empirical study was conducted using quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze the state of critical thinking of university students in the southern region of Kyrgyzstan, and the influence of digital technologies on the learning process was studied. The results of the study show that students have difficulty analyzing and evaluating information, which requires further improvement of teaching methods in the context of developing critical thinking. The article also provides recommendations for increasing the efficiency of the educational process at universities in the southern region of Kyrgyzstan. The need to transform educational programs and increase the digital competence of teachers is substantiated. Prospects for further research into factors and mechanisms for the development of critical thinking in the digital educational space are outlined
