Abstract
The objective of this work was not so much a complete analysis of the reserve flora taking into account all species, but rather a study of the main types of steppe formations based on the latest data. Geographical analysis of the reserve flora showed that along with the predominance of certain species, there are also plants whose distribution is associated with highlands. On the territory of the reserve, 80% of the 65 plant species presented are endemic to Central Asia, and 13 species are listed in the Red Book of the Kirghiz SSR and other countries. Also, 17 species of medicinal plants were identified, but only a few are found in significant quantities, such as Juniperus semiglobosa and Hypericum perforatum. In the course of the work, the geographic coordinates of the habitats of the species were determined. In the Kulunatinsky State Reserve, 394 plant species were found, of which 16 are endemic to Kyrgyzstan, about 167 species are limited to Central Asia, and the rest are more widespread. This emphasizes the importance of local species for the reserve flora. Only one species is registered in the Red Book - Persian rowan (Sorbus persica Hedl.)
